Connecticut's doula workforce includes doulas from many training backgrounds, practice models, communities, and lived experiences. Whether you trained through a Connecticut-based program that meets Connecticut’s goal of doula core competencies such as the ENT Interdisciplinary Doula® Program or one of the others, a training program that does not meet the core competency goals, an apprenticeship, or hands on community doula care, your experiences and perspectives are important to this assessment.
Doulas across Connecticut experience a wide range of opportunities and barriers when serving families. This survey will help identify workforce needs, hospital access challenges, Medicaid and insurance barriers, reimbursement concerns, training needs, and policy priorities.
